In Service to Our Community
It's In our DNA
Since its founding, the City of Los Angeles has been a vibrant part of America’s story and Trinity’s history is part of that tapestry. We have shared and participated in the high and low points of Greater Los Angeles and like this great city, we have continued to thrive and prosper. There are many storied names and transformational moments intertwined with Trinity’s history in surprising and often entertaining twist but we are most proud of our commitment to the community and enduring efforts to support and minister to it. Alongside our continuous community outreach, you can find us at our booth at The Taste of Soul as well as regularly supporting and sometimes hosting the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles. We’ve also hosted the Annual Martin Luther King Celebration held by the Alpha Kappa Alpha and Delta Sigma Theta Sororities.
Equally Trinity and our members are active on various community bodies, commissions and municipal adjuncts from Jefferson Park, and USC to Baldwin Hills and others. We’re part of the California Emergency Response Team and active in various law enforcement & safety meetings in the County.
Most important for us, is the Salvation of the people we meet, work with and share our community and public spaces with. However Trinity has its roots in the Great Migration out of the South. Just acquiring the land to build our church involved us suing to allow the land to be sold to a Black congregation. Thus if anything, our participation in the Civil Rights Movement and so many other calls to arms has convinced us of our Civic Responsibility to our fellow men and women, boys and girls and the surrounding communities and we take this opportunity to invite you to join us in worship or just say hi, if you see us around.
